Monogram Jhumka!!!

Heya folks,

I have been getting a lot of appreciation for the jhumka variants that I have been sharing. I have added a few more variants to the line and this time its monogram jhumkas!!!

The minute you think about mixed media its all about stencils and adding texture. That's exactly what I added in this variant!!

This variant is made from a base, that is the quilled dome.

Alcohol inks, Tim holtz Cargo Stencil, Mont marte texture paste and the most important Viva decor Inka Gold-Gold paint are the ingredients used to cook this up...

I am super happy with the variant!!!
Do leave your thoughts about the same!!!

Thanks for stoppping by,

Teddy love

Heya folks!!!
Its the mid of April and the temperature is soaring high!!! I am so damn tired of the heat :(

Our hostess the month of April is
Her challenge to you is to create a project using three elements (colour palette will count as one element) from the photo inspiration below .
The twist to the challenge is that you can make only cards.
Its kind of tricky but sure is lot of fun :)

Here's the story board for you!!!
Yep!!! Its an elements challenge and we are gonna accept only cards!!! Phew the twist is the killer here!!!

So here's what I made for this challenge

The three elements I chose were the teddy bear, Colors and the flowers!!!

This is one of the cards I sat with for 20 mins and I was done. Everything just fell into place.
I first took black cardstock and used Craftersworkshop template (Art is) and applied a good amount of Mont marte modelling paste to simulate the blackboard effect. I later took out the Poolside ephemera pack and stuck the flowers from it to do the clusters.

The teddy is a dimensional sticker from the Itsy Bitsy. Later added the sentiment love this which is again from the Poolside ephemera pack. To finish up the card I added a wooden clip!!!

Hope you liked the card I made.
Do take part in the current challenge for some fun.

Altered embroidery hoops- Feat. Bobnbetty pattern papers!!!

Heya Folks,
For this project I have tried something completely different than what I do. Thanks to Deepika Sharma the owner of Bob N Betty who gave me a push in this direction!!!

For this project I used Embroidery hoops and Anemone paper stack from Bob N Betty.
Completely in love with the stack. It has interesting designs right from the delicate lace design to the bold flowers which I completely fell in love with!!!

So here's the project I made!!! A altered embroidery hoop.
Ain't that beautiful :)

Lemme give you a walkthrough as to how I did it. I couldn't take pics of the project while I was working on it as I was completely zoned out :P
Firstly I applied gesso on the embroidery hoops and made use of 2 sheets from Anemone stack to sketch out the hoops. Cut and pasted them behind the hoops.
Once this was dry, I placed both the hoops in desired style and secured them in place using fevibond.
The same paper stack was used to make the photomats. I was totally enthralled by the lace design on the paper and used tacky tape to secure them.
Anemone stack has some gorgeous flower patterns that I fussy cut and place them in the required shape.
02Then I added laces and flowers to make some clusters and added resin and metal embellishments from my stash.
To give it a finishing touch, I gave a coat of gesso using a dry brush and also added few drops of watered down gesso.
This altered embroidery hoop can be used as a decorative piece or a photo frame capturing those special moments of life.

Here are a few closeups of the project

This collection has 8 designs, available in 6″x6″ and 12″x12″ inches. you may follow the link to check out these gorgeous papers at http://www.shopbobnbetty.in/browse/anemone
I was mesmerized with the outcome. Hope you too like enjoyed the complete process.
